Welcome to our new website.
Congratulations, you have been given the Author role meaning you can
post on your very own page.
This allows you to paste your weekly newsletter, which you have already
created in Word, as a post. Your only requirements are to open up your
word document and follow the instructions listed below.
Following are the instructions:
1. Click on the + New on the top of this window 2. Select "Post" 3. Give your post a title by following this format -
room number, type of post such as weekly
newsletter, news, to parents, then month or week example: Room K1-Newsletter August 30
4. Go to your document that you have created in Word and select
everything by either clicking and dragging or by holding down the
command key and clicking on the letter A key (Select All) 5. Copy your selection by holding down the command key and clicking
on the letter C 6. Return to this window and Click on the clipboard with a W icon
7. Paste your document by holding down the command key while
clicking on the letter V 8. Now your document appears in the box, click on Insert button on
bottom right corner 9. You are set 10. Now for the details 11. Scroll down till you see the section labeled Categories and choose
your grade level or class
12. Scroll further down till you see a section labeled Relation Tags
13. Click on "Choose from the most used tags" and you should see one
that pertains to your class or page 14. Scroll further down until you see the section labeled Access and
choose the one that pertains to you
15. Almost there, scroll further until you see the section labeled
Featured Image
16. Click on "Set featured image" 17. You will see a window where you can add an image from the media
library or upload an image of your own
18. Click "Select featured image" 19. Now you are ready - scroll to the very top and click on Publish button
20. To verify the page looks good, click on "View Post" button
21. To see how your page looks on intended web page, click on Walnut
