Resolution #15:4-94 TAX AMOUNTS AND RATES It is recommended that the Board of Education adopt the “Resolution Accepting the Amounts and Rates as determined by the Budget Commission and Authorizing the Necessary Tax Levies and certifying them to the County Auditor.” WHEREAS, This Board of Education in accordance with the provisions of law has previously adopted a Tax Budget for the next succeeding fiscal year commencing July 1st, 2015; and WHEREAS, The Budget Commission of Lorain County, Oho, has certified its action thereon to this board together with an estimate by the County Auditor of the rate of each tax necessary to be levied by this Board, and what part thereof is without, and what part within, the ten mill tax limitation; therefore, be it RESOLVED, By the Board of Education of the North Ridgeville City School District, Lorain County, Ohio, that the amounts and rates, as determined by the Budget Commission in its certification, be and the same are hereby accepted; and be it further RESOLVED, That there be and is hereby levied on the tax duplicate of said School District the rate of each tax necessary to be levied within and without the ten mill limitation as follows: (Exhibit #2); and be it further RESOLVED, That the Treasurer of this Board be and he is hereby directed to certify a copy of this Resolution to the County Auditor of said County. HEARING OF PUBLIC ON NEW ITEMS * Mark Hart - Talked about the North Ridgeville Community Task Force- a group started by some residents to raise awareness about drug addiction and heroin. They are looking to be involved in the schools and entire community. There is a rally and walk being held May 17 from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. at South Central Park. Serena Johnson - Serena- Talked about NARCAN (substance that is can save a life in the case of a drug overdose). There is a free NARCAN clinic taking place on April 30th from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at 202 Chestnut Street in Elyria. They will educate people about NARCAN and how to properly use it if someone has overdosed on drugs. Encouraged people to attend this free clinic.
