HEDLER DX 15 - safety glass or matt
2 The compact Hedler Daylight light unit! The new
HEDLER DX 15 uses a highly efficient metal halide lamp.
At a current consumption of 150 Watts it produces a
continuous light output power that equates to a 650
Watts standard Tungsten halogen lamp! Without forced
air cooling it suits ideal for orignal sound recordings.
Additionally to this positive aspect the HEDLER DX 15
shows a relatively low temperature compared to a traditional Tungsten halogen lamp within its light beam area.

HEDLER SL Softlight Kit
2 The use of the MaxiSoft 70 x 70 cm makes this kit very
suitable for classical portrait and product photography.
Set up from short distance the lighting characteristic is
relatively soft with well-defined shadows. With an increased distance between object and light source, shadows
tend to appear more deeply and the shadow edge
transfer is more narrow. With these facts in mind, this
kit is very flexible for work in the studio and on location,
and is a perfect starter.

Halogen lamp for HEDLER DX 15!
2 The compact Hedler Daylight light unit! That´s how
we have built and introduced the new HEDLER DX 15 as a daylight light unit without forced air cooling.
But there is more to know about the DX 15, especially
one thing: for all who prefer to work with halogen light, a
special, efficient halogen lamp with approx. 3000 Kelvin is
available for the HEDLER DX 15 (like the DX 15s metal
halide lamp: at a current consumption of 150 Watts it
produces a continuous light output power that equates
to a 650 Watts standard Halogen lamp).

HEDLER SL Stronglight Kit
2 Due to the use of the 4-Leaf Barndoor 360° this kit
suits for a lot of lighting tasks: as a hard accent light, for
background lighting, as an effect light (try it sometimes
with optional coloured filter gels) or even for lighting
wide areas. With diffusor matt gels attached the lighting
characteristic gets a bit softer. With free rotability by
360° and with individual adjustable leafs, it allows control
of the reflection´s size and shape as well as the size of

HEDLER Original Reflectors
4-Leaf Barndoor 360º
MaxiNorm
2 Useable up to 2500 W, it creates a very
hard, brilliant light and allows and excellent all-sided cutting-off of the light beam.
360° turnable and mainly recommended for
product photography and lighting wide areas. Four built in filter gel clamps allow to attach (colour)
filter gels without any additional tool fastly. Because of
the multi purpose usability of this reflector it´s a musthave in your studio and for on location work. Special
hint: give it a try to create some interesting kind of hard
background or effect lighting.
2 Useable up to 2500 W, this reflector is
mainly suited to general purpose photography and is recommended for the use in combination with reflex umbrellas. It limits the light
beam by its front opening with Ø 180 mm without changing the lighting characteristics of the light unit. The light
beam is highly homogenous in terms of the light beams
intensity. It produces a well defined shadow with a clearly
visible transition between lit and and shadow area, which
allows to accentuate specific areas in your photograph.

MaxiBrite
2 Useable up to 2500 W, this reflector
offers a very high intensity light with a
slight hot spot. It suits ideal as an effect or
headlight or for technical photographs with
a brilliant lighting effect. With grained inner surface and
protective rim.
As an optional accessory a straylight suppressing honeycombs is available (Honeycomb Profilux 240 < 7026 >).
Additionally another optional accessory is the Flash Soft
Scrim < 7036 > (only for Hedler flash light units!), which
softens the lighting characteristic of the MaxiSun a bit.

MaxiBackground
2 Useable up to 1000 W continuous light
output power and without any limitations
in combination with Hedler flash light units,
this reflector has a very unique lighting
characteristic: clear, brilliant yet flattering
it
accentuates textures. Colours appear vivid
and saturated. Used for portrait work your model´s
eyes seem to be very bright and the hair has a wonderful
shine. A truely stylish light - you should give it a try, not
only for portrait but interior too! With white inner surface, protective rim and the typical central deflector.
2 Useable up to 2000 W, this
reflector is mainly used to generate
gradients on backdrops. Depending on
the angle and distance between reflector
and backdrop shape and intesity of the gradients can be
adjusted. Obviously, the MaxiBackground is a very special
reflector and suits mainly for effect lighting. Besides this
it is a perfect background lighting tool when working in a
smaller studio or on location.

MaxiSpot 65 & MaxiSpot 130
MaxiSpot Honeycomb Sets
2 MaxiSpot 65 - a snoot, useable up
to 1250 W, which is ideal for creating a
perfect hair or kick light. Set from above
and a bit from the backside, a wonderful
shiny hairlight with brilliance produces an
eye-catcher and provides more depth to the
photograph by accentuating this area.
The MaxiSpot 130, useable up to 2000 W,
suits mainly for background effect lighting. Used from the
same distance, it lits a wider area than MaxiSpot 65.

2 Softboxes are a widely spread tool
you´ll find nearly in every studio!
Why? They combine soft and at the
same time clear lighting characteristic
with perfect control of which area to
be lit. Using softboxes it is often very
easy to lit background and foreground
separately. Increase the size of the softbox you
use (while remaining the distance between softbox and
object the same) and the lighting gets softer.

2 There´s always a specialist - this is
true even for softboxes. So let us introduce the striplight and the Octagon.
Striplights produce a very soft lighting
characteristic along their longitudinal
axis and they will be often used for
nude
or erotic photographs.
The Octagon produces an extra soft light of great clarity
for portrait, nude and erotic. And because of its shadow
creating capabilities, try it for lowkey photographs!

Reflex umbrellas white • silver
transparent with Ø 80 + Ø 100
2 Reflex umbrellas produce a widely
spread, homogeous light beam, which
suits mainly for lighting large areas or
groups of people. Benefits: broad shadow
edge transfer, lighting a wider areas with
more than one light unit is easier, a wider
light beam means that people in front of
the camera don´t have to be too static.
Different types produce different lighting
characteristics: white reflex umbrellas produce a soft but
clear light, silver offers a brilliant and hard light and transparent delivers an extremely soft light (which is perfect
for suppressing wrinkles!).
Recommended for portrait: white with Ø 100 cm!

2 The Hedler reflex umbrella holder
is designed for the use with the

Because of its special construction,
the middle of the reflex umbrella will

and transparent umbrellas up to a diameter of 100 cm.

HEDLER H 10
2 The most variable Hedler video light unit! Maximum
continuous light output power generated by one lamp is
1000 W - and less on demand. How? Do not dim, change
the halogen lamp. Thus the colour temperature stays the
same, your white balance will work and colours will appear correctly. This flexibility combined with the robust
metal housing makes the H 10 the perfect choice for on
location work: adjustable, lightweight and sturdy. And because it has no forced air cooling, it doesn´t produce any
disturbing noise - perfect for original sound recording!

2 The Hedler video light unit, that can be focused! Variable light in an ultra-compact metal housing - from spotup to flood light with a simple turn. By using the focusing
knob, intuitive and easy, the size of the light beam can
be adjusted without changing the light unit´s position.
Besides this feature, the HF 65 generates max. 650 W
continuous light output power @ approx. 3300 K. Using
a fresnel lens it produces a hard, brilliant light; colours

HEDLER FP 250
2 The „smallest“ Hedler flash light unit: with its 250
Ws flash output power and 60 W modeling lamp it is a
perfect start into the professional Hedler System.
For all the technically minded: infinite variable over 4
f-stops (16 Ws - 250 Ws) with high colour temperature
constancy. Flash output power reduction without flashing
and reproducability of ±1%. Flash duration at maximum
flash power is 1/850 s, digital indicator. Robust all metal
housing suits ideal for rough studio and on location work
as well as the Pyrex™ glass cover protects the flash tube
and the modeling lamp. The FP 250 - great for portrait

2 Only the absolute nessities - but full of possibilities!
The combination of FP 250 and white reflex umbrella Ø
100 cm provide ideal lighting for the fast portrait: from
short distance pleasing and flattering it tends to be more
crisp with deeper shadows when positioned more distant
to the model. Be creative - it´s much easier with reliable
and uncomplicated equipment. Therefore we include a

2 Extremely handy - the new HEDLER Pro Backdrop
Set. You´re on location and it´s always the same: your
lighting idea turns out to be fine, everything is in its place,
but the background is really distracting! Hmm, some
fabric or background paper roll would be fine. But you
won´t nail it to the wall or attach it to a wobbly shelf.
Neither good solutions nor professional!
Ok, we´ve listened and sometimes simple solutions are
the best ones. Two light stands in combination with an
