Hexagon Side Table Woodworking Plans by The Handyman’s Daughter Materials Needed 2 - 2 x 2 boards @ 8 feet long 1 - 2 x 12 board or 22” square piece of ¾” plywood Protractor and ruler 2 ½” pocket hole screws Kreg Jig 1 ½” L brackets and ½” wood screws Wood glue and wood filler Cut List 2 - 2 x 2’s @ 15” 4 - 2 x 2’s @ 6 ¾” 4 - 2 x 2’s @ 22” 2 - 2 x 12’s @ 19 1/16” Instructions Drill pocket holes in both ends of each 6 ¾” and 15” piece. Mark the center of each 15” piece, and attach 6 ¾” pieces to both sides of the center mark with 2 ½” pocket hole screws. Attach 22” legs to ends of the assembled X with 2 ½” pocket hole screws. This will form the underside of the table. Attach the second X to top ends of table legs. Flip finished base over to hide pocket holes. Cut two pieces of 2 x 12 to 19 1/16” long. Trim ¼” off one long edge to create a smooth side for the center seam. Set your miter saw to 30°, and cut off corners 5 ½” from the smooth side. Drill pocket holes along center line of one half of hexagon. Glue and screw together with 2 ½” pocket hole screws. Attach table top to base with 1 ½” L brackets.
