Personal Training Options
Are you interested in working one-on-one with a personal trainer? Certified
Personal Trainers are available to help you learn more about your body and the
benefits of exercise. Purchase Personal Training and leave your contact information with
Fitness staff at any of our three Fitness Studios and a personal trainer will contact you
to set up an appointment. Your personal trainer will provide you with a basic program to
follow, as well as basic nutrition information to help you meet your fitness goals.
Dual Discount
Lead an active lifestyle together with a friend or family member by working out at
Richmond Hill Fitness and Aerobic Studios! When two individuals purchase the
same membership type for the same term and at the same time, each will receive a
10 per cent discount off the price of his/her individual membership.
*Individuals do not have to be in the same age category.
University/College Student Discount
Full-time students enrolled in a post-secondary institution are eligible to receive a
20 per cent discount. Please call one of the Fitness Studios for more information.
A student card and class schedule are required to show proof of full time enrollment.
Fitness members are eligible to receive only one type of discount at a time. Fitness
membership discounts are not available online.
Non-Residents
An additional 25 per cent applies to non-residents for the membership fee.
Fitness Equipment for Persons with Disabilities
Richmond Hill encourages and supports the participation of individuals with disabilities in our
fitness programs. To facilitate opportunities for everyone, Ed Sackfield Fitness Studio offers
specialized strength and cardiovascular equipment designed to provide a high level of accessibility.

The Richmond Hill Mobility Accessibility Foundation is pleased to provide funding to assist persons with

POOL FITNESS
AquaFit – Combo
Plunge into fitness with this combo aquafit program! It offers a wellrounded workout that includes a warmup, cardio segment, muscle
conditioning, and cooldown. The water provides non-impact
support for joints, as well as extra resistance for muscles in both
the shallow and deep ends of the pool. This program is suitable for
all fitness levels, and non-swimmers are welcome.

Get fit in the water! With the exception of the warm-up and cool
down, this class takes place in the deep end of the pool. Ski belts
and other floatation devices are used, so the focus remains on
shaping the ab, butt and thigh muscles. The biggest plus is that
this is a no impact workout.

Healing Waters
Healing Waters is a therapy-based program that involves mind,
body and spirit. The class is designed for people who have
arthritis or joint issues such as knee surgery or hip replacements.
Movement in water offers multidirectional resistance in a non
impact environment, the water supports the body and cushions
movement. This class takes place in the small pool because when
the water is warm, the pain cycle is interrupted and the healing
process is encouraged.

Cycle & Core
Strengthen your stamina and core! This program offers a great
cardio workout, followed by a combination of core exercises. This
is a registered program; however, drop-ins are welcome on a first
come, first served basis, if space remains. Please contact the
Oak Ridges Community Centre prior to the class to inquire about
availability. The drop-in fee is $11 per class.
