The recorder project or painting/drawing or Haiku (5-7-5 format) must reflect the answer to the book
notes questions (I will show student examples in class – but we have done this before during the
Ancient Greece Unit – remember???)
3) Painting or drawing of the Silk Road trade route




Must include the major products traded back and forth across the Silk Road and how they were
moved/shipped
A general time period (x – y) when these trade routes were operating (keep in mind – we are
talking MONGOL rule when it comes to dates)
Should include major players (what groups were involved – on both ends)
Should include subtle outlines and labels of modern day countries
Grading: You will earn two grades: a completion grade from Mr. Bedard, and a self-assessment grade
based on your perceived overall quality of the project
