I fought in the Revolution
And helped us to be free.
I served as the first president
And led the U.S.A.
“The Father of Our Country”
Is what I’m called today.
Abraham Lincoln is my name,
And you honor me today.
I was the 16th president
Of the U.S.A.
Some call me “Honest Abe”
For my sense of right and wrong.
I led us through the Civil War
And kept the Union strong.
The love I have for this great land
Is what caused me to fight
To keep this country standing strong
And seeking what is right.
