Priority will be given to members. so register now via email to Guest Speakers Dr Janet Kong, Head of Market Analysis, Integrated Supply & Trading, BP As the Head of Market Analysis for Integrated Supply and Trading at BP, Dr. Janet Kong is responsible for driving the research agenda for the eastern hemisphere oil analytics team. Her team develops specific trading balances, valuation models, and market views and coordinates globally on cross-commodity, cross-regional, and global thematic research projects. Previously Dr. Kong was Managing Director at China International Capital Corp (CICC) where she mainly lead the company’s effort in building up a commodities sales and trading business by setting up from scratch the research, sales, and trading capabilities. Later on in her tenure at CICC, she held the position of Chief Strategist in charge of the overall investment analysis across assets and markets. Dr. Kong holds both Ph.D and MA in Economics from the Georgetown University (Washington DC) and has written various papers and publications for IMF, the World Bank and HKMA. Mark Keenan, Head of Commodities Research, Asia Pacific, Societe Generale Mark Keenan is Head of Commodity Research Asia and is based in Singapore. For that last two years, SG has been voted Energy Risk Asia, Commodity Research House of the Year and for the last three years, it has been voted by the industry as the Best Overall in Commodity Research in both Risk and Energy Risk. Immediately prior to joining Société Générale, Mark was CEO of Cubit Commodity Research, a firm dedicated to fundamentally-driven commodity investment strategies. Prior to Cubit, Mark was Head of Risk and Portfolio Analytics at RWC Partners in London and before that Head of Commodity Investor Products (ETD) at UBS Investment Bank in London. Mark has over 15 years of experience in commodity trading, research and strategy. His experience extends to all the major energy, industrial metal, bulk, precious metal, and agriculture markets across all instruments and related asset classes. He has worked with a wide range of clients, including corporates, trade houses, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, pension funds, private banks, family offices and hedge funds, across a variety of investment, hedging, trading and mandates. Mark appears regularly on CNBC and Bloomberg TV and is quoted widely in global press and media channels. Mark has a BA and MA in Biochemistry from Oxford University.
