After significant investment in the complete restoration and upgrading of The
Phoenicia, we are now looking at recruiting and training the right staff. Staff with
can-do, will-do attitude.
The Phoenicia has re opened as a Campbell Gray Hotel and a member of ‘The
Leading Hotels of the World’.
Job Description
An excellent opportunity exists for an ambitious and committed professional to
join The Phoenicia Front Office team.
The selected person will be responsible to provide efficient, prompt, trouble-free,
courteous service, and security to guests in the absence of the departmental
Managers and limited staff during the night.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Handles incoming guest room reservations, check ins and check outs
according to hotel standards.
• Assist hotel guests as required.
• Prepares night audit reports as requested.
• Identifies and records special billing instructions and notifies accounts
accordingly.
• Records, reports, and takes actions to ease or remedy any incidents
occurred in the Hotel.
• Ensures that the staff on night duty carry out their duties according to Hotel
standards.
Requirements:
• Relevant experience in a luxury hotel environment.
• General Knowledge of Maltese History and Culture.
• Good command of English (both oral and written) and at least two other
languages preferably French and German.
• Good working knowledge of Opera (PMS) and Front Office Procedures.
• Supervisor experience.
• Have excellent communication skills and pleasant telephone manners.
• Ready to work under pressure.
• Good knowledge of Accounts and financial transactions.
• Running audits and nightly reports.
