Match Preview:
Boyertown vs. Pope John Paul II
The Boyertown Bears enter tonight’s match with a 10 – 0 record. They are currently ranked #5 in the
state of Pennsylvania. First year head coach Jared Every has guided Pope John Paul II to four non-league
dual meet wins on the strength of some solid wrestlers who are looking to improve on their
records. Nick Yerger, Michael Collins, and Luke Genetti are all 9-1 and are off to a great start this season.
Boyertown is led by Gregg Harvey and Jake Campbell, who will both be working for their 20 th win this
season while sophomore Lucas Miller hopes for win 18. Both Lucas Miller and Gregg Harvey are closing
in on the 100 win club, as both currently stand at 90 career victories.
Boyertown looks to defend its PAC-10 championship tomorrow with what may be the deciding match in
the league against perennial powerhouse Spring-Ford. In a potential battle of the unbeatens, Spring-Ford
enters Thursday’s night match presently with a 14-0 dual record and are looking to knock off the
Bears. Come out and support us tomorrow at Spring-Ford High School.

50 Years of Boyertown Wrestling
The 2014-15 season is the 50th season of wrestling at Boyertown HS and the program will be celebrating with a variety of events throughout the season. Special teams and individuals from the program will
be saluted at the home matches this season. The end of the season banquet will also have plenty of celebrations for the 50 years, as well as the latest Hall of Fame inductions.
50th Anniversary & Year-End Banquet
The 50th Anniversary banquet is being held on Friday March 13, 2015 at the Bear Creek Mountain
Resort. The cost is $38 per person and there are limited seats available, so register early! Bear Creek is also
holding several rooms in a block for us until Feb. 10th at a discounted rate. For additional information, you
