2015 Oatmeal Festival Schedule of Events
Bring your Sugar to the 38th Annual Oatmeal Festival!
Saturday, August 30TH:
All Events, unless otherwise noted, will be in downtown Bertram on Vaughn Street.
8:03 a.m. - Trail Ride from Oatmeal to Bertram
8:03 a.m. - Run for your Oats: 3.3 mile race begins and ends under the water tower on Vaughan
Street.
8:03 a.m.- 4:03 p.m. Arts & Crafts booths open/close.
9:03 a.m. - Oatmeal Cook-off at Lewis Building on Vaughan, Downtown Bertram; bring entries
until 11:33 a.m. at Grange Street side entrance. (Lewis Bldg)
9:03 a.m. - Begin sign-in for Pet Parade at Johnnie Mae Wheeler Park
10:03 a.m.- Pet Parade: Downtown Bertram. Sign up at Wheeler Park.
10:33 a.m.- Grand Parade: Downtown Bertram; Emcee Daryl Johnson; special guest
11:03 a.m.- Following Parade, Enjoy some shopping with our vendors and great BBQ at HWY
29 BBQ!
11:33 a.m. – Through the afternoon: music and entertainment on Vaughn Street.
12:03 p.m. - Music by “Blue Bonnet Pickers” in Wheeler Park. (under the water tower)
1:03 p.m. - Register in front of Bertram City Hall for washer tournament and other FUN games.
1:03 p.m. - Zany Games begin: Cow Chip Kick-Off, Oatmeal Box Stacking, Oatmeal Eating
Contest, Chamber Pot Tortilla Toss, & Egg Toss; 3.3 Tons of Fun!
1:03 - 4:03 - Music in Arts & Craft area
9:03 - 10:03 - Enjoy music and street dance by “Peoples Choice” $10/person 9:03pm til 1:03am
