Are the college holidays paid for?
The college does not assist with the cost of childcare during the
following holidays; October, Christmas or Easter. We do however
cover short holidays, for example bank holidays and in- service
days.
Does the college have its own nursery?
Unfortunately Glasgow Kelvin College does not have its own
childcare provision. However there is wide range of childcare
providers located near all five of our campuses, one of which is
located inside the Easterhouse Campus.
Can I change my childcare provider?
If you wish to change your childcare provider, you MUST contact
Student Funding to discuss this matter further, before changing.
How will my childcare be paid?
Childcare is paid monthly to the childcare provider, providing
your attendance is above 80%.
How many days of Childcare will be covered?
We will only cover your college timetable, for example if you are
scheduled in 2 full days and 1 half day, this is all that we will
cover.
