The first nuclear reactor
Enrico Fermi was born in 1901 in Rome, Italy. He was an Italian physicist. He worked on the
first nuclear reactor- Chicago Pile -1. He is one of the men who is referred to as the ''father of
the atomic bomb''. He worked on the Manhattan Project during World War 2.

The first light bulb
On 22nd of October 1879 the first light bulb was invented by Thomas Edison. It was
made out of a fiber from carbon which heats using electrical current. It lasts for forty
hours. One year after it was invented fifty thousand pieces were produced, but they
didn't last much more than the first one.

The first car in serial manifacturing is "Model T''. The Model T was introduced on October 1,
1908. The car was very simple to drive and easy and cheap to repair. By the 1920's, a
majority of American drivers had learned to drive on the Model T.

Heavy metal. Some groups that play this type of music are:

Dubstep is a type of electronic music. It's actually with more music details and it has harder
sound. Lots of people like it because it's a great music for parties. Skrillex is one of the most
popular dubstep artists.

Pop music is a genre of popular music. The instruments that are used in this style of music
are: drums, electric guitar and bass. A lot of people listen to this type of music nowadays.
Some of the famous pop songs are -" Rolling in the deep", "Hurt"," Beautiful" and others.
The term pop song was first used in 1926.
Rock
Rock misic is a genre of pop music. It originated as" rock and roll " in the USA in the 1950s.
This is a type of music with a very big history. The instruments that are used in this style are:
electric guitar, bass guitar and drums. Some of the legends in the rock are- Bon Jovi, Queen,
AC DC and other groups.

Earthquake
An earthquake is when the earth surface is moving and everything is shaking. It can destroy
buildings. It has got a Richter magnitude scale. One of the largest earthquakes is the 1960
Chilean Earthquake, reaching 9.5 magnitude.
Hurricane
A hurricane is a strong wind, that raises everything in the air. Hurricanes have got ''an eye''.
In the northern Indian Ocean, hurricanes are called cyclones and in the western Pacific
Ocean - typhoones.

Tsunamis are big waves, that can kill people and put everything underwater for seconds.
They are often in the oceans and reach 30 or more metres. In 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami
was one of the worst natural disasters in the history.

Tornadoes are often called twisters or cyclones. They come in many shapes and sizes. They
are windy storms that can lift everything up. They are too dangerous and can kill people.
Tornadoes are seen on every continent except Antarctica.

Its name comes from Vulcan, the name of a god of fire in Roman mythology. The study of
volcanoes is called volcanology. The volcano consists of a magma chamber, rock base, lava,
caldera and crater. After the eruption the volcano makes a pyroclastic cloud.
Flood
Flood happens when the flow of water is greater than the normal capacity. Most floods
happen when rivers and streams overflow their banks. Most of them take hours or days and
are very dangerous. The water could cover whole cities.This disaster can destroy many
houses and cars .There are many floods in South and North America.

Our group wrote some stories about manga characters.Here is one of them!
There was a boy named Boby Lames. He was 14 years old and he lived in Komarcia. His
parents died when he was 4 years old and now he lives alone and wants revenge. He is the
best fighter who anybody has seen. He has moved to a new school and found new friends.
One day he saw his friend smoking, and while he was going to meet him, somebody
kidnapped him. He went to help him! There were 3 murderers. Boby Lames ran very fast to
the car and stopped it. He beat the murderers. Now everybody knows how brave he is and
he has a very good reputation.
