IntroductiontoTheater Whileprimarilyanactingcourse,IntroductiontoTheaterprovidesanoverviewofWestern theatertraditions.Thisstudiocoursefocusesondevelopingpoiseandconfidence.Vocal techniqueisdevelopedthroughvariousexercises.Studentsareencouragedtoattend amateurandprofessionalproductionsatanumberoflocaluniversitiesaswellasworldclasstheatercompanies.Studentswillbecomefamiliarwithbasicstagegeography, movement,andtermsassociatedwiththetheater.Whilegearedtothenoviceactress,this classisstronglyrecommendedforESLstudentsandanystudentseekingtogainconfidence withpublicspeaking.Whileitisnotrequired,studentsareadvisedtotakethis introductorycoursepriortoelectingourActingclass.
