towards the Services of the Year 1900-1901.

H E R E A S we Y o u r Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects,
t h e M e m b e r s of t h e L e g i s l a t i v e A s s e m b l y of N e w S o u t h W a l e s
in P a r l i a m e n t assembled, h a v e resolved to g r a n t to Y o u r M a j e s t y the
s u m of S i x h u n d r e d a n d f o r t y - t w o t h o u s a n d p o u n d s , t h a t i s t o s a y —
T h e s u m of F i v e h u n d r e d a n d t w e n t y - f o u r t h o u s a n d five h u n d r e d
p o u n d s , b e i n g t h e s u m r e q u i r e d t o d e f r a y t h e e x p e n s e s of t h e
v a r i o u s D e p a r t m e n t s a n d S e r v i c e s of t h e C o l o n y d u r i n g t h e
m o n t h of S e p t e m b e r , o r f o l l o w i n g m o n t h of t h e f i n a n c i a l y e a r

there shall a n d m a y be issued a n d applied for or t o w a r d s m a k i n g good
t h e s u p p l y so resolved to b e g r a n t e d to H e r M a j e s t y f o r t h e said several
S e r v i c e s t h e s u m of S i x h u n d r e d a n d f o r t y - t w o t h o u s a n d p o u n d s , of
w h i c h t h e s u m of F i v e h u n d r e d a n d t w e n t y - f o u r t h o u s a n d five h u n d r e d
p o u n d s is to be e x p e n d e d a t t h e r a t e s which h a v e b e e n s a n c t i o n e d f o r t h e
financial y e a r ended t h i r t i e t h J u n e , one t h o u s a n d nine h u n d r e d , subject
t o t h e r a t e of a n y r e d u c t i o n t h a t m a y h e r e a f t e r b e m a d e i n t h e e x p e n d i ­
t u r e of t h e y e a r 1 9 0 0 - 1 9 0 1 , a n d O n e h u n d r e d a n d s e v e n t e e n t h o u s a n d
five h u n d r e d p o u n d s f o r t h e S e r v i c e s s p e c i f i e d i n t h e S c h e d u l e h e r e t o
annexed.
2. T h e T r e a s u r e r s h a l l i s s u e a n d p a y t h e s a i d s u m f o r t h e
Services aforesaid in such m a n n e r a n d in such proportions as the
Governor, b y W a r r a n t s or Orders in writing under his hand, a n d
directed to t h e said T r e a s u r e r , shall f r o m time to time order a n d direct.
A n d t h e p a y m e n t s so to be m a d e shall be c h a r g e d u p o n a n d p a y a b l e o u t
of t h e C o n s o l i d a t e d R e v e n u e F u n d of t h e C o l o n y .
3. T h e T r e a s u r e r s h a l l i n h i s a c c o u n t s f r o m t i m e t o t i m e b e
a l l o w e d c r e d i t f o r a l l s u m s of m o n e y p a i d b y h i m i n p u r s u a n c e of s u c h
W a r r a n t s o r O r d e r s . A n d t h e r e c e i p t s of t h e r e s p e c t i v e p e r s o n s t o
w h o m t h e s a m e shall b e so p a i d shall be full a n d v a l i d d i s c h a r g e s t o
the said T r e a s u r e r in p a s s i n g his said accounts for such sums as shall
be therein mentioned, a n d h e shall receive credit for the same
accordingly.
