NOODLE MAKING CLASS - We will be hosting a “Noodle Making Class” on Saturday, August 24th, beginning at 9 AM in the Parish Hall. This is open to anyone (men & women, boys & girls!) who are interested in learning from some of our “pros” this wonderful and useful talent. Supplies will be provided by the Altar Society, but please sign up on the sheets at the back of church if you plan on participating so we have enough supplies on hand! In Leo Tolstoy’s famous short story, “How Much Land Does a Man Need?” a peasant makes a deal - for 1,000 rubles, he can have all the land he can circle in one day. But if he does not make it back to the starting point by sunset, he will lose his money and receive no land. Ina thrilling finish to the story, the peasant is racing against the setting sun. He was greedy, and tried to cover too much area. He drops dead from exhaustion just short of the finish line. The peasant is buried in an ordinary grave, only six feet long - thus ironically answering the question posed by the title of the story! Let us all take care to find our true and lasting treasure in God alone! Have a blessed week! Fr. Jerry ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT - the Annual Financial Report will be attached to next weekend’s Bulletin. Let’s all keep all of our elderly, sick and homebound parishioners in our prayers! “Faith: Love it, Learn it, Live it” St. Isidore, patron of farmers, intercede for us as we pray for safety and favorable weather!
