Parents will receive information about accessing the
Armstrong School District’s Educational Support
System and Special Education Services and
Programs including screening, evaluation and
Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning
processes. Dr. McMasters will focus on how a
child’s need for special education is determined, how
the IEP is developed, and the procedural safeguards
afforded to students with disabilities and their
families under the Individuals with Disabilities
Education Act (IDEA), Chapter 14 and Section 504
of the Rehabilitation Act.
