Instructions for Lynx LX3 2.5-15x50 fitted with RF-Tactical reticle
LX3 2.5-15x50 Tactical is fitted with low-profile tactical controls and Lynx mil-graduated ranging
reticle.
The adjustment controls are engraved with large highly-visible numbers which make them easy to
read in poor light, each click moves the point of aim 0.1 mil and one full revolution of the control
moves the point of aim 5 mils, which matches with the length of the measured centre portion of the
reticle.
The elevation control is fitted with an easy to engage1 zero stop function which permits full upward
adjustment of the point of aim and returns precisely 2to your pre-determined zero position.

The Ranging Scale

The ranging scale, built-into the bottom part of the reticle, provides ranging for a 50cm high target
from 200 metres up to 1 200 metres with the scope is set to maximum magnification.
Note that although provision is made to range targets up to 1200 metres, it is practically more
difficult to range a target accurately the farther it gets due to the increasingly smaller differences in
size over distance.
The ranging scale is most simple to use for distances 200 to 600 metres in 100 metre increments.
Simply hover the scale over the target and read the distance directly using the numbers below the
baseline as shown in the examples below for 200, 400 and 600 metres respectively:

To range targets from 400 metres up to 1200 metres in 200 metre increments, use the lengths
of the secondary (vertical) ranging bars and double the distance given by the distance numbers
below the baseline as shown in the examples below for 400, 800 and 1200 metres respectively:

To range targets at distances 700, 900 and 1100, use the tertiary ranging bars as shown in the
examples below:
