GAS
APPARATUS
With pressure in a full Acetylene cylinder at 250 psig and a full
oxygen cylinder at 2200 psig, a way is needed to lower cylinder
pressures to desired working pressures for use in the torch.
This is accomplished by using an adjustable pressure reducing
regulator. The regulator also maintain a steady working pressure
as the cylinder pressure drops from use.
Oxygen and acetylene regulators connect differently to their
cylinders so they can not be mixed up. Oxygen regulators have
right hand threads and regulators for Acetylene and other fuel
gases have left hand threads. .
Air Liquide unique 410 CGA for acetylene provides added
safety by making it impossible to connect a CGA 510 fuel
gas regulator to an acetylene cylinder

CGA 680 outlet connections and are not intended for use on
manifold installations or bulk packs

Heavy-duty double-stage regulators
Blueshield TSR Series double-stage regulators are designed:

APPARATUS
• To reduce cylinder gas pressure in two steps, allowing a
constant delivery pressure to be maintained, regardless of
cylinder pressure
• Models are available for: Carbon dioxide, oxygen, acetylene,
hydrogen, compressed air, argon/nitrogen/helium and
nitrogen
ULC listed.
• All high-pressure models are equipped with high-capacity,
self-reseating pressure relief valves to protect regulator
components in the event of excess pressure
build-up.This patented feature results in no burst disks as
commonly found on other manufacturer's equipment
• All pressures gauges are dual scaled (psi and kPa) with
polycarbonate windows
• Colour-coded pressure adjusting knobs provide visual
identification of gas service for added safety
• This feature makes double-stage regulators suited to
applications where accuracy and consistency are a must.
All double-stage regulators are based on a heavy-duty design
that incorporate replaceable cartridges to allow for quick and
easy maintenance and repair

Heavy-duty pipeline station regulators

• Blueshield PSR Series pipeline station regulators are
used to connect pipeline systems that transport gases to
welding stations and to welding outlets where pipeline
pressure is usually constant. Station regulators are only
equipped with delivery pressure gauges
• The Blueshield PSR Series is available for the a variety of
gas services: Oxygen, Acetylene, Inert gases and Fuel gases.
ULC listed.
