Job Description: Educational Technology Integration Specialist Seoul Foreign School Key Roles: The Education Technology Integration Specialist is a member of the school faculty. He/she works in close association with the Coordinator of Educational Technology and divisional principals to help lead and manage technology activities within SFS. Key Responsibilities: Provide dynamic support to the development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of the School’s educational technology program for the express purpose of promoting student learning and enabling students to acquire the knowledge, skills and understandings that ensure successful 21st century learning. Work with the division(s) to integrate technology in meaningful ways. This will include the laptop initiatives as well as providing support to faculty on the use of age-appropriate technology. Provide leadership and professional development to division teachers and members of the educational technology support staff to maximize their impact on operations in support of student learning. Identify new and emerging educational technologies for the express purpose of applying these tools to support student and faculty learning, growth and development. In concert with the divisional technology coordinators, the Coordinator of Educational Technology, and the Assistant Head of School -Operations, develop, allocate and monitor the educational technology budget for the purpose of ensuring appropriate technology resources are available and effectively utilized in support of the educational technology plan. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional growth and development. Assume other professional responsibilities as assigned by the Head of School. Preferred Requirements: An advanced degree in educational technology; Personal Christian faith; Internationally-minded outlook, with a culturally sensitive understanding of other faiths; Experience with or understanding of various educational technologies; Four years of classroom teaching experience; Two years of demonstrated success in providing educational technology support; Proven ability as a solid team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude and able to work flexible hours outside of the regular school day; Excellent interpersonal skills; Proven ability as an innovative, results oriented, self motivated, energetic, creative problem solver; Demonstrable passion for lifelong learning, academic excellence, and responsible world citizenship; Experience in supervising technology program development as well as facilitating its implementation; Experience using data to inform technology decisions; Ability to engage in multiple tasks, to motivate and inspire others and to lead change successfully; Ability to make difficult decisions; Strong organizational and time management skills; Experience with inquiry-based education and 21st Century learning. Key Reports: The Education Technology Integration Specialist reports to the Coordinator of Educational Technology.
