Neolithic Revolution
Sales Commercial
Directions: Historians are always interested in times and events that brought about
dramatic change for society. One such example is the Neolithic Revolution, starting
roughly 10,000 B.C. With your group, produce a sales commercial that attempts to
convince your fellow stone age people to abandon their Paleolithic life and begin a
Neolithic life by highlighting the significant changes of the Neolithic Revolution.
10points: The commercial accurately and thoroughly represented life in the Paleolithic
and Neolithic periods. It was original, creative, and entertaining. The presentation of
the commercial was efficient and well-organized. All group members were meaningfully
involved in the creation and presentation of the commercial. The commercial was
between 30-60 seconds long.
7-9points: The commercial represented life in the Paleolithic and Neolithic periods, but
was somewhat inaccurate or confusing. It was original, but only somewhat creative or
entertaining. The presentation of the skit was somewhat inefficient, and the group
members appeared confused, disorganized, and/or ill-prepared. All group members
were meaningfully involved in the creation and presentation of the commercial. The
commercial was between 30-60 seconds long.
0-6points: The commercial failed to accurately represent life in the Paleolithic and
Neolithic periods, but was very confusing. It was unoriginal, uncreative, and/or boring.
The presentation of the commercial was extremely disorganized, and the group
members appeared unsure of what to do. Not all group members were meaningfully
involved in the creation and presentation of the commercial. The commercial was not
between 30-60 seconds long.
