FEDERAL ELECTION DAY SAUSAGE
SIZZLE FUNDRAISER
Thank you to everyone who assisted at
the sausage sizzle fundraiser over the
holiday break on Election Day. Thank
you to Mark Ammermann, Emma
Borland, Radek & Elise Bohacik, Nikki &
Adrian Passingham, Tina McAllister,
Rebecca & Ed Keller, Mrs Hughes,
Courtney, Chloe, Ella, Wynee, Gwen,
Bronte, Amelia, Ruby & Theo.
The school managed to raise $950 on
the day which will be very useful funds
to help finance projects and purchase
resources for the school.
GRADE 6 GRADUATION MEETING
Thank you to everyone who attended the Grade 6
Graduation meeting yesterday. Plans are now in
place to select a suitable venue and arrange
specific details for the night. The date is now
locked in - Friday 16th December. Stay tuned for
further details.

digital. We will no longer print our weekly
newsletter. It will still be on our website and
many families receive it via email. If you do not

2017 PREP TRANSITION PROGRAM
Our first 2017 Prep Transition session for the year
will be held on Tuesday 2nd August from 9.00 am –
11.00 am. Mrs. Hughes is organising an exciting
session concentrating on Physical Education, ICT
& Drama.

Our Artists in Schools program kicked off
yesterday in a hive of activity. The grade 5/6
explored the medium of clay making pinch pots
and the P-6s designed artwork depicting narratives
which we have begun to paint onto glass cups.
We’re looking forward to next week’s follow up
sessions.

Grade P/1/2/3 students learnt a
German song called: Grün, Grün, Grün
Sind Alle meine Kleider.
Students in 4/5/6 learnt a German song
called: Es War Eine Mutter which is
about the four seasons. Then they
continued with their ‘Jahreszeiten’
posters.
ICT
Grade P/1/2/3 students went to a
website called Hennig’s Haus and
followed German instructions as to how
Hennig’s House should be painted.
Students in Grade 4/5/6 commenced a
Commonsense media unit about piracy
and plagiarism.

be posting videos on YouTube that I
have created. Parents will be provided
with the web address and password for
access.
