On average, a tonne of chips should cover about 80 square metres. It also depends on the size of the chip: Tuscan,
which is a smaller chip, should cover 100 square metres.
The above materials are derived from naturally sourced minerals and variations in colour may occur, therefore we do not recommend
you use different batches on the same property.
Gravel & shingle products may have traces of naturally occurring iron which on weathering can cause localised staining.
Orkney Aggregates Ltd cannot accept liability for these problems but can offer advice on suggested remedial work.

Description:
Kale: Charcoal in colour, similar to Orkney Flagstone.
Belmont: Shades of brown, ochre, khaki and grey, very similar in appearance to that of York
stone.
Rossendale: Consistent tones of light grey, with streaks of white banding marks and a natural
riven surface.
Autumn Brown or Horton: Various golden brown tones with a natural riven surface.

LINTELS & SILLS

All our sills and lintels are made of C30 reinforced concrete. Lintels increase by 200mm up to
5 metres and Steel Mould sills start at 800 millimetres and go up in 100mm increments to 2.5
metres. Floated Finish sills can be any length you want, up to 3.5 metres. If we don’t have the
size you want in stock, we can make it to your requirements. Please note there is a one metre
minimum charge.
LINTELS
Lintels normally have a textured finish to allow the rendering to adhere to them, but you can
request a fair-face finish on one, two or three sides. Add £12.00 per metre for one or two fairface sides and £17.00 for three.
