the Palo Alto City Library’s 2016 Summer
Reading Program for everyone - babies, kids, teens,
adults & families. Please join us!
How to
sign up for the program
Summer Reading is for all ages– birth and up. Sign up
any time, at any Palo Alto Library branch, or online, from
June 1 through July 31.
Set your own personal reading goal for the summer and
then post the books that you have read online. You can
add book reviews, and read what others have posted.
When you have reached your goal, drop by any
Palo Alto Library branch starting August 1 to claim your
prizes. All prizes MUST BE PICKED UP BY AUGUST 31.
Random weekly drawing prizes will be mailed to
winners.

Join us for an evening of delicious books. Whether you like mysteries,
humorous stories, travel books, or romance, you will find something to
feed your appetite. There will be refreshments and activities for children.

ESL Book Club
If English is not your native language and you like to read, come to our
ESL Book Club this summer. We will recommend easy-to-read books in
English and everyone will have a chance to talk about the book they are
reading. Wednesdays, July 13 & August 17.

Made in America Event
Join us for an event of stories with a twist! Each of the six storytellers is a
DREAMer—a young person who came to the U.S. as a child, with the
hopes for a pathway to citizenship. Hear the poignant and entertaining
stories that have shaped their lives. Wednesday, June 29.

The Palo Alto City Library presents a program series entitled: Welcome
to America! for new Americans and visitors to learn the customs and
values of their new home. Each session will focus on a selected topic
