Weekend Sentence Rules and Regulations As a resident of the Douglas County Jail who is sentenced to periodic imprisonment you have specific conditions set forth in your court orders that allow you more freedom than other residents in this facility. In order to maintain security in the jail and to assure the orders of the court are carried out, the following Rules and Regulations are a condition of periodic imprisonment. Failure to comply with the rules and regulations of the weekend sentence program will result in the revocation of your weekend sentence. 1. Obey and follow all conditions as set forth in the court orders. 2. You shall not commit another criminal offense during this period of weekend sentence. 3. Obey and follow all rules and regulations of the Douglas County Jail provided at the time of booking. 4. Report to the Douglas county Jail at the time specified in your court order. 5. Call the Douglas County jail if you know you are going to be late reporting. Advise the officer on duty the reason you will be late (car trouble, bad roads etc.) Note: The Corrections Officer can not excuse you. 6. If you are sick and unable to report, a written excuse from a doctor will be required and that weekend will be made up at the end of your sentence. 7. Do not report to the jail under the influence of drugs or alcohol. You may be requested to submit to blood, breath or urine tests at any time. Refusal of these tests will be considered a positive result of the test. Reporting to the jail under the influence of alcohol or drugs will result in the Corrections Officer refusing to accept you. A petition to revoke your weekend sentence will be filed with the courts. 8. Weekend inmate’s vehicles are to be parked in the gravel parking lot located southwest of the jail. Vehicles are subject to search at any time for the health, safety and security of the sheriff’s department employees and inmates. 9. Do not bring to the jail any items of contraband. Any item not allowed by jail rules including but not limited to alcohol, drugs, cigarettes etc. 10. All personal items brought into the jail will be sealed in a plastic bag and secured in your locker. You are not allowed to remove items from the bag once it is sealed. 11. Jewry will no be allowed in jail except wedding bands with out stones. 12.
