HORRY COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING AGENDA MINUTES Burroughs and Chapin Auditorium May 1, 2017 1. Call to order: Chairman Dreama Perdue 2. Invocation: Dreama Perdue, read from a NFRW devotional hand book. 3. Republican Creed: Ms. Lois Moody 4. Adoption of Agenda: Motion to adopt the agenda without committee reports was made by Carlene Carmen and Joe Dugan second the motion and motion carried. 5. Approval of Minutes: Motion by Robert Rabon and second by Joe Dugan to approve the March minutes, motion carried. 6. Recognition of Dignitaries and guests by: Chairman Perdue, Past Chair Robert Rabon, Representative Russell Frye, Joe Dugan and Cleo Steele. 7. Chairman’s Report: Chairman Perdue reported that we have 48 delegates to attend the 2017 SC Republican State Convention, May 13, 2017. We have alternate delegates attending as well. 8. Treasure’s Report: Bank balance is $ 37,255.39 reported by Shelia Lancaster, Treasurer. 9. State Executive Committeeman’s Report: Norm Fay encouraged all to show up early at the convention meeting, at least before 9:30 a.m. the meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. Linda Knight will be in charge of keeping the alternate delegates all together until we have assembled the 48 delegates, then they will be seated in the auditorium. Norm informed us that there will be not Silver Elephant Dinner on Friday night at this time. Great news from Norm, we have 129 precincts. Sixty-eight (68) precincts were organized in 2017. Fifty (50) precincts were organized at the first re-org meeting and 18 were organized in the re-org make-up meeting. 10. Committee Report: Vice Chairman, Gerri McDaniel gave a presentation on the up-dated SC Republican GOP web site. Gerri shared with us the importance of Social Media being the best way to get the word out about what’s happening here with Horry County Republican Party. She encouraged all to go to the web site and visit and look around, there, you will find all information about what is happening within our party in the weeks ahead. Unfinished Business: No unfinished business at this time. 12. New Business: Representative Russell Frye presented a special plaque signed by the S.C. Delegation to Robert Rabon for all of his hard work and dedication over the many years serving as Chairman of the Horry County Republican Party. Comments: Chairman Perdue sang praises of so many people has given so much of their time to the campaign for Donald J. Trump, our President and to the Horry County Republican Party. Chairman Perdue recognized Kevin Hughes from the CCU College Republicans, for their tremendous help in getting groups organized, pushing forward as young Republican’s being a part of Horry County. She also talked about getting the high school seniors involved, Past Chair Robert Rabon spoke highly about a committee being formed to get more of these seniors involved in the HC Republican Party, soon they will be a voter and we should teach them about being a Republican. They are the future of our Country. Chairman Perdue also encouraged everyone to sign up for a committee, very important, please be a part. Announcements: S.C.
