professional transport companies. Furthermore,
we have 5-deck trailers at 157 sq. m, carrying 750
piglets, at our disposal, and we can ensure that the
truck arriving at your pig farm is clean, disinfected
and properly quarantined according to the legal
requirements and health protection rules before
loading.
Own export centre
We have established our own export centre, called
Birkely, where we exclusively re-load Porc-Ex
piglets under close monitoring of the loading of
piglets with various health statuses.
The facility has a cleaning area for three trucks
at the time and can house up to 750 piglets at
30 kg (capacity of up to 4.000 piglets per day).
Birkely Export Centre is located at Baskærvej 19,
DK-6040 Egtved.

Denmark, we have declared health status levels
for the buyer. High status herds are declared free
of a number of diseases.
They are the top health status for production animals, followed by Middle status, modified by specification of the health statuses checked - e.g. MYC,
APP, PRRS. Conventional herds are herds whose
health status is not systematically checked and to
a certain extent unknown due to no monitoring of
antibodies. The majority of the Danish pig breeders, that Porc-Ex cooperates with, is a part of the
SuS health system. If a pig producer has an official
health status, he will be subject to extensive regulations concerning protection against infection,
health control and transportation.

based on DanAvl D(LY) genetics. To produce the
most cost-effective piglets, our farmers use three
breeds; Landrace and Yorkshire constitute the maternal line, and the breed Duroc constitutes the sire/
terminal line. In order to reach the target of a high
lean-meat percentage, DanAvl continues the work
with developing the genetic of these lines within the
Danish breeding system. Thus, to ensure that we
constantly can supply you with the best D(LY) quality.
After many years in the business, it is still our mantra

now one of the market leaders in the league of companies within purchase, sale and export of piglets.
