Player bios
Andrew Taylor
Ranked as the number one player in the 13th region this versatile guard is gaining interest from
colleges across the nation. He has exceptional range, phenomenal handles and desire to make himself
and his teammates better each day. Be sure to catch the Corbin game as he is a joy to watch.
Chase Sander
One of the more underrated players in Kentucky’s sophomore class—This lefty possesses on of the
smoothest jumpers you’ll see in the Nissan Classic. He has the ability to play a variety of positions and
compliments his jump shot with athletic finishes around the basket.
Conner Hopkins
This young man had to sit out the entire 2015/2016 season with a knee injury, but is ready to remind
folk why he was considered one of the more versatile players in the 13th region before his departure.
He has the ability to play down low and then take out on the floor and shoot the ball with range.

Player bios
Oumar Keita 6’11 Jr C – Played last season while still recovering from an injury. Was at no better than
70% at any point in time last year. Numbers were way down, but if healthy, would have been better
than his sophomore season where he averaged a double double (12 ppg, 10 rbs).
Malik Henry 6’7 265 Sr PF – Malik’s numbers from last season don’t jump out at you (6 ppg, 6 rbs), but I
expect big things from him this year. The work he has put in so far leads me to believe that he will be a
solid scoring option for us and should put up numbers to rival that of Keita’s.
Ramon Mercado 6’3 Jr PG – Has been extremely solid since he has been here and look for him to have a
break out season. Averaged 9 ppg and 4 ast a game from a season ago and is really looking forward to
filling the void left by the departure of Anthony Nelson.
Kareem MacDonald 6’0 Jr SG – Kareem is an excellent shooter and ball handler and will play some point
for us this year. Ended the season very well last year averaging 14 ppg over the last 6 games. If he
continues to produce and show some consistency, it will help balance our attack on the offensive end.

Michael Jefferson is back as our senior point guard. He is getting some college looks. He averaged 12.6
points per game last year and scored 25 against Paul Dunbar in the 11th region tourney.
Caleb Miller is our leading scorer from last year at 14.2 a game. Caleb is a threat from three point land
and is an extremely physical defender. He is a senior.
Bryar rose is a 6-2 transfer who started for Madison central. He had a big summer and we expect him to
be one of our leaders in many statistical categories. He can post and he is a really good three point
shooter.
