Featuring a legendary comedy line-up, Joey Boy
charts the wartime misadventures of a gang of
London spivs who decide that a tour of duty with the
Army is preferable to another stint at His Majesty’s
pleasure. Directed and co-written by Frank Launder
and co-produced by his long-term St Trinians
collaborators Sidney and Leslie Gilliat, Joey Boy is
presented in a brand-new transfer from original film
elements.
While posters urge austerity in wartime Britain, ‘Joey
Boy’ Thompson has never had it better. In a cellar
beneath his East London fish shop, a gambling club
thrives. But police arrive in a lightning raid and offer
Joey and his fellow reprobates a stark choice: sign
up for active service, or face another stint inside!

novel charting the exploits of notorious nineteenthcentury bushranger Captain Starlight, Robbery Under
Arms sees Finch heading an impressive cast that
includes Jill Ireland, Ronald Lewis and David McCallum.
Partly filmed on location in Australia, Robbery Under
Arms is presented here in a transfer from original film
elements in its as-exhibited theatrical aspect ratio.

Written by and starring Frank Harvey and directed
by German film pioneer E. A. Dupont, Cape Forlorn
tells the story of a passionate, sexually aware young
woman whose presence destroys the serenity –
and ultimately the lives – of three men. Set on an
isolated lighthouse off the New Zealand coast, Cape
Forlorn’s provocative, apparently amoral storyline
led to its initial banning in Australia. This brand-new
digital transfer presents the film uncut, in its asexhibited theatrical aspect ratio.
Updating Val Newton’s classic Cat People, this
supernatural chiller stars scream queen Barbara
Shelley as Leonora, a beautiful girl obsessed by the
idea that she is heir to an ancestral curse causing
her to develop the ferocious, predatory instincts of
a leopard. Directed by Upstairs, Downstairs’ Alfred
Shaughnessy and an early showcase for Shelley’s
smouldering talent, Cat Girl is presented here in a
brand-new transfer from the original film elements
in its as-exhibited theatrical aspect ratio.
