A possessive noun is formed by adding (i) an apostrophe and s ( ’s ) to the singular nouns and plural nouns that do not end in ‘s’, (ii) an apostrophe ( ’ ) at the end of plural nouns that end in ‘s’. Review these. The boy’s pencil is short. The monkey’s tail is long. This the dog’s collar. The men’s hats are black. The women’s hats are red. The children’s toys are new. The girls’ dolls are cute.
