EM residency program and Medical Director for UPMC Pre-hospital Care. He is
medical director of several EMS agencies and of the NAEMT’s Advanced Medical Life
Support program. Dr. Mosesso has been very committed to education at all levels
and teaches courses for medical students, residents, EMS providers and other
health professionals. Dr. Mosesso has authored over 40 peer-reviewed papers with a focus on cardiac arrest
and automated external defibrillators, and is on the editorial board for two journals. He served on the EMS
Examination Task Force and is currently a member of the EMS Examination Committee for the American
Board of Emergency Medicine.
This program is designed to provide hospital clinicians and resuscitation professionals
with the most recent resuscitation science and research including: an overview of
resuscitation management, pre-hospital resuscitation, in-hospital response teams,
therapeutic hypothermia, use of ECMO, future of epinephrine and an overview of
pediatric resuscitation. Our goal is to reach hospitals across the region to support
resuscitation efforts and share knowledge of recent science, with the aim of helping
hospitals improve resuscitation processes and survival rates. The cost of the
symposium is $40.00.
