Gesellschaft für Recht und Ökonomik e.V. German Law and Economics Association The German Law and Economics Association (Gesellschaft für Recht und Ökonomik e.V) invites paper submissions for its 15th Annual Conference, simultaneously the 8th French-German Talks in Law and Economics. The conference will take place July 21-22, 2017, at the Philipps- University Marburg. Local organizer is Prof. Dr. Tim Friehe (Public Economics Group). The keynote lecture will be delivered by Prof. D r. Urs Schweizer, University of Bonn, on: "Accident Models: Reduce to the Max but not Beyond" We welcome submissions of full papers or paper drafts on any topic regarding Law and Econom ics. Submission of extended abstracts is acceptable, but priority will be given to complete paper drafts. We encourage submissions by young researchers at the PhD level to present and discuss their work w i t h more experienced scholars. The conference language is English. To submit your manuscript please send an email with a PDF version (other file formats will not be processed) to the following email address: [email protected] Please list in your email the name(s), affiliation(s), and email contacts of the author(s), and please indicate who will likely be the presenter of the paper, if accepted. Please add contact details of your co-authors if they also plan to attend the conference. The deadline for submission is January 31, 2017. Acceptance decisions will be communicated in March 2017. If your paper gets accepted for presentation, you need to send the completed manuscript to the commentator, who will be assigned to you, no later than June 12, 2017. Should you wish to participate without presenting a paper, please register by writing an email to the local organizer ([email protected]) no later than May 10, 2017. Regardless of whether they present a paper, all participants are requested to act as a commentator. Each participant will have to transfer a participation fee of €100 to the GLEA/GRÖ e.V. prior to the conference registration. Detailed information on the registration procedure, the preliminary program, as well as accommodation and travel suggestions will be communicated from March 2017 on. During the conference, the annual assembly of GLEA/GRÖ e.V. will be held. As in previous years, the German Law and Economics Association might be able to reimburse a part of the expenses of younger researchers who do not have access to travel budgets at their universities. If you are interested, please indicate your prospective expenses for travel and accommodation when submitting your paper. Naturally, we are unable to predict at this time what share of your expenses GLEA/GRÖ e.V. will actually be able to cover.
