Changing a Student`s Physical School in FLVS

Changing a Student’s Physical School in FLVS
If you receive a course request or official documents for a student who is no longer attending
your school, you can follow the steps below to move the account to the correct school.
Important Note -You do not move students who are attending the Alternative Learning Center
from your school. You also cannot pull an account into your school. This can only be done by
the Brevard Office of Virtual Instruction, if the student’s account already resides in Brevard.
1. Log into AS400 to determine the student’s
current school of enrollment (S319).
a. If the student is not enrolled
anywhere, notify Heather Price.
2. Log into VSA, the FLVS system. You may
access this site directly at:
https://vsa.flvs.net
3. Enter the student’s name in the search fields
located in the upper, right-hand corner.
Click User Search to open this window.
4. If multiple results for this name appear,
select the correct student. This will take you
to the student’s Cumulative Academic
Report.
5. Place your mouse, but do not click, on the
“Student Records” button on the blue tool
bar. This will open a secondary menu, click
on “Academic Profile”.
6. Use the drop-down menu to select the new
school of enrollment. Pause to allow the
new school’s information to load, the screen
will flash and the school’s address will
appear.
7. Now select a guidance counselor from the
drop-down menu. If you do not know the
counselor, you may select the guidance chair
or another member of the department. This
can be updated by the student or counselor
in the future, if necessary.
8. Finally, click the Save button at the bottom,
right of the screen. No changes will be
saved unless this is clicked.
9. You may now navigate back to your
dashboard at the student should no longer
appear (clicking the refresh button may be
necessary).
