Pupils need
tombola jars
to force Maralyn to drink ANYTHING
Nicholson Street school resident witch Maralyn
has exclusively told the Ghouly News that students
need make only 2000 tombola jars before she will
drink whatever they can concoct.
In a shock announcement, Maralyn told students
on Monday morning that detergent and other
poisons were out, but otherwise she’d try to wolf
down any edible liquid. Even raw egg. Or mashed up
brusselsprouts. Ewwwww.
The five children who bring the most tombolas
to school will get to make the slimey, gooey, yucky
mess.
The not-so-ugly, not-so-old hag has recently returned form a winter holiday in Europe. She complained to students she had been unemployed since
last year’s Halloween festival due to rumors off injuries and other “issues” at last year’s event. “There’s
a certain groundskeeper that I hope never to see
again,” she said. Maralyn refused repeated requests
from the ghouly news for further details.
Young Muir sized up for pot
At least one young student at Nicho will be keeping a wary
eye out for the warty one at lunchtimes for the next six
weeks.
Kinder pupil Muir thought he was answering an innocent
question when asked by the witch Maralyn how tall he was.
Her response shocked and amused the whole assembly.
She said he was just the right size to fit in her pot. Quizzed
further on whether he preferred garlic or onion, it dawned
on Muir that things may be heating up for him.
To make matters worse, Maralyn claimed to have already
turned at least one pupil into a frog - and threatened others
with the same treatment.
Principal Ms Proud looked a bit worried. The Ghouly News
understands if the witch turns too many pupils into frogs
she risks losing a teacher. However, if the witch can clone a
few kids, she’d be laughing.

I’m looking forward to
the massive slide

go down and I like steep

good.
I’m looking forward to
the decorations, because
the school looks really
cool with all the
Halloween decorations.
I’m looking forward to
the decorations because
I think the school really

decorations are up.
WE WANT YOUR
JARS
They can be big, small, decorated, a
funny shape... Our Halloween Festival Tombola Jar are always STUFFED
FULL OF LOLLIES. Last year we collected more than 1300 decorated
tombola jars.
Then at the Festival, each jar is numbered and our visitors buy a ticket and
the number is matched to a jar. It’s a
lottery and there is always one that
you have your eye on.
How you can get involved:

I’m looking forward to
my first Halloween at
school. I’ll get to see
everyone dressed up,
and I’ll be able to see if
I’m really scared or not.
Some of the stalls:
Petrifying
Pinatas
Be among the first to smash the petrifying piñatas, hanging threateningly,
hiding their treasures within. These
are not your average piñatas, they are
made of paper mache and decorated
to be as scary as possible. What can be
hiding inside?
The Touchy
Feely
Due to popular demand The Touchy
Feely is back... it’s more horrible, more
slimy, and darker than ever. Noises of
horror will embrace you as you enter
the dank, dark room, the only light being a blue light that makes your teeth
look extremely strange.
Tombolas, bake a cake for the cake walk (to be delivered on Saturday, October 30), prepare your costume, help source or
donate a prize (at least one per family) and sign up for two shifts or more per family to work on the day of the festival.
