Classes of 1966 50th Reunion Echo and Pine Yearbook Dear Classmate, Publishing a 50th Reunion Echo and Pine yearbook is a tradition that commemorates this milestone year. But to do so, we need you to participate, as we are curious about what all of you have done since graduation. Let’s acknowledge that we look older than we did when we assembled to discuss The Lord of the Flies in Albright Auditorium back in September 1966. We all have had varied lives, careers, loves, tragedies, and disappointments as well as remakes, successes and triumphs. While we realize that some of you will be unable to attend the reunion, we highly encourage you to participate. The four years spent at HWS were a formative part of our lives; let’s share what we have become! The enclosed form is to make the task less onerous and encourage you to write about anything that strikes your fancy— memories from our time at the Colleges, life and learning (formal or otherwise) after school, or anything else that you choose. The form sets out the basics, but it is in the extended thoughts section that your fellow classmates will get to know “you” since graduation. We highly recommend including a favorite current photo(s) of you. Our Reunion yearbook will be mailed to the entire class in early May 2016, a month before the Reunion. In order to stay on schedule, the firm deadline to submit your form is March 20, 2016. The more classmates that participate, the better our 50th Reunion Echo and Pine yearbook will be. If you choose not to submit anything, your name and current contact information will be listed. In the past, people have expressed regret in not participating and an addendum was made. We found reading the 1965’s 50th Reunion yearbook provided not only information about fellow students but also gave us ideas of what to submit. Even though we can’t send you a copy, we are providing some examples to help get your creative juices moving and hopefully increase participation. Rather than having a listing of deceased classmates, we would like to include obituaries. At our 40th Reunion, Helen Beasley and John Culbertson made a slideshow about our deceased classmates. While the Colleges do have information about them, if you have information about anyone on the enclosed list, please let Dulcie know. Three ways to submit your form: 1. Complete the information online at www.hws.edu/alumni/activities/reunion.aspx 2. Email your entry, (a Word document attachment or in the body of an email) to Dulcie Meyer at [email protected]. Re-type the questions adding your text as a reply and attach a photo. Or if you’d like to have Dulcie email you the form to complete and return, just email and request a copy. 3. Complete the paper copy of the form and mail, along with a current photo or two of yourself in the provided envelope. If you have any questions please contact Dulcie Meyer at (315) 781-3082 or [email protected]. We are fortunate the Colleges provide such support. We look forward to reading your submission and seeing you at our 50th Reunion in June 2016. Sincerely, Woody Jewett Jane (Gray) Daniels Rev.
