Grief Facilitator Trainings
Mourning Hope’s Grief Facilitator Trainings are intended to give skills to both new and
returning volunteers interested in facilitating four, eight, or ten-week grief groups at the
Mourning Hope Grief Center, or at local schools or community centers that host Mourning
Hope grief support groups. Using Dr. Alan Wolfelt’s Companioning Model, volunteers are
taught skills to come alongside grieving youth who need a place to express and explore
their grief journey. Trainings are intensive, and a full commitment is necessary in order to
facilitate groups.
Because grief is the hardest work there is...
hope is a wonderful thing.
The cost is $25 for students, $50 for non-students. There is no fee for returning volunteers
looking to brush up their skills!
