Our Purpose
The purpose of the Trent Court Residents Council is to improve the quality of life at Trent Court through
programming, community partnerships, assist with resident satisfaction; enable residents to create a
positive living environment , and be a conduit and liaison between administration and residents.
Our Mission
Provide programming for self-sufficiency, youth engagement, leadership training, be a resource and referral
network for community involvement and partnerships, and be a conduit for resident concerns and
improvements in conjunction with the Housing Authority of the City of New Bern.

Safe Environment
The Housing Authority of the City of New Bern in partnership with the resident council is committed to
providing a safe environment for all its residents. A safe place is where residents can thrive and enjoy a
better quality of life. The strategic partnerships that we have formed with city public safety, area
churches, nonprofit organizations, the residents, staff and others help us foster this safe environment.
