The President and Chief Executive Officer
“Business Creates Wealth”
“When you hear the term Chamber of Commerce, do
you immediately think of a collective body working
together to create CAPITAL or obtain WEALTH?
We share valuable business information, resources, and
tools to achieve Entrepreneurial Parity and Economic
Prosperity with all Business Owners in attendance.
Tri-County Black Chamber of Commerce is just
that; a Collective Economic body that operates on the
principle that group maintenance and sharing is essential to
creating CAPITAL and obtaining WEALTH.
Our Plan of Work Conference is also scheduled every
year in February as a tribute to Black History Month;
recognizing the achievements of our Members and
Supporters; and presenting our strategic programs and
activities necessary to achieve our Mission, Vision and
Goals.
As a CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, our mission is to
acquire and disseminate valuable business information,
resources, and tools necessary for Member Firms, working
together, to gain Entrepreneurial Parity and Economic
Prosperity world-wide.
Our vision is to be the leading network of prosperous
Business Owners actively building wealth and promoting
global competitiveness!
Our goal is to provide a network of Business Owners
with high level business development services to secure
larger public and private contract awards.
When you see our name you will immediately think of
three (3) counties. Historically, our county-wide service
area was relevant to 3 counties; however, today we have
grown to 3 Regions; 3 counties being served in a designated
Region. We are now providing Chamber Services to nine
(9) counties; Harris, Montgomery, Liberty, Galveston,
Brazoria, Fort Bend, Chambers, Jefferson, and Orange
Counties.
Our Mission, Vision, and Goals, are achieved through
a body of collective and like-minded Business Owners,
Advisory Board Members, and Supporters.
Our programs and activities are determined within our
Objectives;
Business
Education;
Business
Development; and Business Advocacy. These objectives
are carried out through our established Board of Directors,
Advisory Board, Affiliates, and special groups referred to as
Councils. The Council Corp mission is to build leaders who
will empower Business Owners with growth and success.
Each Council is Chaired and Co-Chaired by a Member and
consists of Members willing to serve on a selected Council.
Every November select Councils determine the Plan of
Work for the coming year by measuring the Chamber’s
current year performance and progress.
As we enter into our eleventh (11th) year of service,
which began on the 11th day of February 2005; we will
present our Plan of Work for 2016 at our 11th Annual
Plan of Work Conference on February 11, 2016.
We have assisted over 100 Member Firms in acquiring
Affirmative Action Certifications and Navigating the
Bidding Processes.
We have fostered strategic relationships with Local,
State and Federal Agencies to assist Member Firms in
acquiring business readiness tools and resources to do
business with public and private entities.
Our Member Success Track program has assisted
members in realizing a growth plan and developing a 30day Next Level activity plan.
We have played a strategic role in assisting Business
Owners with an international experience, trade exploring
and facilitation. We have orchestrated several Partners in
Trade Agreements between the City of Houston and the
Country of Belize; gaining advantages in strengthening our
trade relationships. The Chamber is a member of the
Mayor’s International Trade Development Council for
Central, South America and Caribbean.
We believe that every Business Owner has a stake in
our Plan of Work. We will safeguard this stake by working
together; leveraging our resources; forming joint-ventures;
alliances and partnerships; which in turn, ensures the
success of every Business Owner.
We support the conviction that
