Learn French!

Why learn French?
Boy, those French! They have a different
word for everything.
-Steve Martin
Into the face of the young man who sat
on the terrace of the Hotel Magnifique in
Cannes there had crept a look of furtive
shame, the shifty hangdog look which
announces that an Englishman is about to
speak French.
-P.G. Wodehouse, Luck of the Bodkins
In Paris they just simply opened their
eyes and stared when we spoke to them
in French! We never did succeed in making those idiots understand their own
language
-Mark Twain, The Innocent Abroad
Don’t just stand there with your Eiffel Tower
smile. Tell me you love me, and tell me in
French.
