Dear Mahwah School Community:
The Mahwah Public School District has opened the registration process for our 2017-2018
full-day kindergarten program.
It is of the utmost importance that we gather accurate and timely enrollment information
about next year’s incoming kindergarten class. Any resident child aged five on or before
October 1, 2017, is eligible for enrollment.
Our district now uses an online pre-registration format for all incoming kindergarten
students. The online pre-registration process consists of the submission of basic student
enrollment information and a brief developmental survey completed by
parents/guardians as well as links to health and physical forms, which will then be
submitted as hard copies to the elementary school the child will attend in September.
The pre-registration forms must be completed by Tuesday, February 28, 2017.

All families of incoming kindergarten students need to provide proofs of residency to
validate enrollment eligibility. A list of acceptable documents can be found on the online
pre-registration link. Parents/guardians requiring information regarding which school
their child will attend should contact the district administrative offices at (201) 762-2407.
Registration (the sole purpose of which will be document collection) will be held at all three
primary schools, Betsy Ross, Lenape Meadows, and George Washington, as follows:

George Washington School – 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Lenape Meadows School – 3:45 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Betsy Ross School – 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

An orientation will be held a t e a c h s c h o o l in late spring. Pr i m a r y s c h o o l
p r i n c i p a l s w i l l p r o v i d e further information regarding orientation
to
parents/guardians after the registration process is completed.
