Letterwinner 2014-2013
As a Sophomore (2013-2014): Member of the travel squad for ll
meets first and second semester competing in the distance
freestyle events... Achieved personal best times in the 500, 1000,
and 1650 freestyle events at the Terrier Invitational...Recipient of
the Kevin Conway Award for most outstanding Sophomore for
the 2013-2014 season.
As a Freshman (2012-2013): Swam sprint, mid-distance, and
distance freestyle events… Participated in all home meets and
selected for the travel team for Army, Fairfield, and Fordham
meets… At the Terrier Invitational, swam season bests in the 50
freestyle, 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle, and 500 freestyle events
and qualified for finals in the 100 freestyle and 500 freestyle…
Earned 2012-2013 Athletic Director’s Award for Academic
Achievement and named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
BEFORE BC: Attended Saint Ursula Academy, four year varsity swimmer… Qualified for
Ohio High School State Championships all four years… Earned All-American Status 2011 and
2012 and Greater Cincinnati League Second Team 2010-2012… Qualified for USA Sectionals
2009-2012 and qualified for YMCA Nationals sophomore through senior year… Member of the
National Honors Society.
PERSONAL: Allison is from Cincinnati, OH, daughter of Jack and Shelly Ridge… She has a
twin sister and two older sisters… Her twin, Erin, is attending Lehigh University… Her older
sister, Casey, graduated from University of Virginia ('13) and her other sister, Shannon,
graduated from University of Pennsylvania ('11)… Allison has swum competitively since she
was 7 years old for the M.E. Lyons Anderson Barracudas… Allison is enrolled in the Carroll
School of Management.
