NEWSLETTER OF CRANLEIGH ABU DHABI PRE-PREP SCHOOL
FOREWORD
You will probably know by now
that the school will be closed on
Sunday 11th December to observe
the celebration of the Prophet’s
birthday (PBUH). We therefore
have a shorter but nevertheless
busy week for the end of term, culminating in a
Winter Party. Term begins on 8th January; on the
second page I have listed all the events for Pre-Prep
for your reference. They are on the school calendar
but this may be useful for you now., particularly if you
want to source items for dress-up days.
Next week we say goodbye to Mrs Katrina Scott who
has been a superb and much loved FS1 Teacher since
we opened the school. We wish her and her family all
the best as they return to Australia. We also thank
Mrs Stephania Cusati for being a fantastic Year 1
Teaching Assistant this term and are sad to see her
leave so she can spend more time with her family.
Reports for FS1, FS2, Year 1 and Year 2 will be
published on the new school VLE on the afternoon of
the last day of term. You will have received an email
as to how to register for the VLE in October; please
make sure you have done this as this will be a
significant change to our communication next term.
There will not be a copy of ‘Sparks’ next week so may
I take this opportunity to wish you a very enjoyable
break with your family and to thank you for your
support this term.
8TH DECEMBER 2016
WINTER PARTY
All Pre-Prep parents are working together to throw our
children a Winter Wonderland party to celebrate the
end-of-term on Thursday, Dec. 15. We need many
volunteers to make this party happen; we are looking
for parents to drop off food on the morning of the party,
parents who can help serve the food at the party,
volunteers to help decorate the Dining Hall at 1:30 on
Dec. 14, and donations of wintry decorations - a perfect
way to help if you are not able to come in on the last
day. Please see the sign-up sheets and the box for
decoration donations across from the front desk in
Reception. A full list of party needs is available there. If
you have any questions, please contact Laura Marshall
at [email protected] or your class or year
rep. The parent reps thank you!
LOST PROPERTY
There will be a table outside the Pre-Prep Dining room
from Monday next week with all the named lost
property. Please come along to look for named items
your child may have lost during the term. A separate
table will also be there for you to go through older
items from last year.
RED CRESCENT DONATION BIN
You will find a donation bin out by the East Gate where
you are welcome to deposit any clothing or footwear
for the Red Crescent donation initiative.
