Superparamagnetic monosized Dynabeads®
are the ideal solid support for IVD assays.
Amino-modified oligonucleotides, antibodies
or other ligands can easily be coupled to the
hydrophilic Dynabeads® MyOneTM Carboxylic
Acid and used for capture of any analyte.
Covalent coupling of ligands is completed
within 30 minutes, and the specific coupling
reaction is extremely gentle to labile ligands.
Dynabeads ® MyOne TM Carboxylic Acid
measures only 1 µm and have a high capacity
for ligands. Combined with low non-specific
binding, this maximises your signal-to-noise
ratio.
Sedimentation rates for Dynabeads® MyOne™ (in red), Dynabeads®
M-270 (in blue) and magnetic particles from 4 alternative suppliers
(in black). Sedimentation rate is determined by spectroscope
measurements of the supernatant (relative adsorbance at 450 nm)
as a function of time (in minutes).

Compared to magnetic particles from
alternative suppliers, Dynabeads® MyOneTM
Carboxylic Acid show a very low level of
autofluorescence, an obvious benefit when
targets are analysed with fluorescence or ECLdetection.
Dynabeads® MyOneTM Carboxylic Acid have
high magnetic mobility (i.e. time saved) and
low sedimentation rate, which is required to
maintain optimal reaction kinetics when
mixing is not possible. This makes them ideal
for use in automated assays.
The reaction kinetics is fast, leading to short
incubation and washing steps. The kinetics
is also identical for all beads, independent
of the batches. This explains the absolute
assay reproducibility observed with
Dynabeads®.
