Blacks In Government Department of Labor Chapter Scholarship

Blacks In Government Department of Labor Chapter Scholarship Program:
Celebrating the Successes of Its Scholarship Award Recipients
Since its establishment in 1992, the Blacks In Government Department of Labor Chapter (BIG-DOL) Scholarship Program has provided
one hundred and twenty six (126) scholarship awards and ten (10) monetary book awards to deserving high school graduates,
totaling $141,500! In addition to providing at least three (3) annual chapter-sponsored awards, BIG-DOL has been honored to administer
annual memorial scholarship awards funded by chapter members and/or their family members and friends, namely the Larry C. Hackett
Memorial Scholarship Award and the W. George Binion Memorial Scholarship Awards. BIG-DOL is very proud of its Scholarship
Program—a highly regarded and efficiently administered community service project in Region XI. Moreover, BIG-DOL commends all of
its scholarship award recipients on their successes and is proud to highlight the accomplishments of some past recipients who are college
graduates (The year to the right of the recipient’s name indicates the scholarship award year):
