The Admin building was built in 1896
and functioned as a school until 1968.
Around 1972 it became the District
Administration building.
The West Linn-Wilsonville School
District covers 42 square miles in the
south metropolitan area of Portland,
Oregon. The district includes two cities,
West Linn and Wilsonville, and a rural
area of Clackamas County. The district
is a K-12 public school system with
approximately 8,400 students.
The West Linn-Wilsonville School
District prides itself on substantial staff
development opportunities for its teaching staff. It is the district’s belief that a well
educated staff serves its students well.
Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) scores are
among the highest in Oregon, and Oregon
consistently ranks first or second in SAT
scores nationwide for states in which fifty
percent or more of the graduating seniors
take the test. Approximately 90 percent of
all West Linn-Wilsonville graduates go on to
two- and four-year colleges.

• The total student membership for the
West Linn-Wilsonville School District
was 8,427 students at the start of the
2009-10 school year.
• The state funding allocation was
$5,990.00 per student for the 200910 school year.
• The district has 460 teachers. (For
reporting purposes, two half time teachers are counted as one full time teacher.)
• There are 181 classified employees
in the district. (Classified employees
are secretaries, cooks, maintenance
workers, etc.)
The “Art in the Schools” program
showcases student work
throughout school
district buildings.
• There are 30 administrators in the West
Linn - Wilsonville School District.
• The district buildings have a total
1,170,485 square feet covering
364.03 acres.
• There are 28 youth and four high
school baseball/softball fields.
• The district has 13 youth and 1 high
school soccer field.
• There are 5 track and field areas
and one lacrosse field.
• Basketball, volleyball and dance
teams share 13 youth and 5 high
school basketball floors.
• District sports teams have a
combined total of 6,362 players.
• The first class in the district
graduated in 1920.
• Last year, 475 students graduated
from the West Linn and Wilsonville
High Schools.
• There were 7 National Merit
Scholars last year. West Linn High
had 7 Commended Scholars.
This year West Linn High has 6
National Merit Semi-finalists and 6
Commended Scholars.
• The elementary school buses travel
3,422 miles daily between home
and school. The middle and high
school buses travel 1,792 miles.
This does not include bus travel
for activities.
