- fuel of the filled up car (about 50

- insurance between CUC 15 – CUC 30

- airport pick up/drop off surcharge CUC

- There is no refund on partial used

departure a handling fee of EUR 25
applies .
- For bookings with less than 200 EUR a
handling fee of EUR 15 applies.

Drop off charges, when the car is
returned to another station are on
request.
The amount for the rent can only be paid cash or by bank transfer to
Islands and More. Credit Cards are not accepted.
For bookings made less than 14 days prior to your arrival in Cuba a “last minute surcharge” with the amount
of EUR 25 will apply. For bookings with the amount of less than EUR 200 a handling fee of EUR 15 will be
charged.
Important Information Please do not forget that Cuba is still suffering from the embargo of the USA – that also means
that theamount of rental cars in Cuba is limited. Especially for high season i.e. on X-Mas the rental cars are always
booked out for month in advance. If you need a car for the high season please make the reservation in time.
On „last minute“ terms you will not be able to get a car.
Cubacar / Transtur / REX offers you a mandatory full risk insurance (with or without a certain amount of excess), which
covers:
car damages caused by collision or fire
partial or total theft
damages caused to third persons (limit - see below)
damages to driver or other persons inside the vehicle.
Third Party Insurance Coverage for rental cars in Cuba
Legal limits for liable responsibility against damages to third party for any of the damages coverage: damages against
damages to other people’s properties because of an accident, until 15.000,- CUC. Corporal injury or death of a person until
5.000,- CUC. Corporal Injury or death of more than one person as a result of an accident, subject to a limit per person of
5.000,- CUC but only until 25.000,- CUC in total.
We recommend to get an insurance which covers more than the offical third party insurance coverage. Please
check with your own cars insurance, whether a rental car third party insurance is included. You will also get information at
your official automobile club in your country.
