aCopyrightMattersprograminrecognitionofWorldIntellectualPropertyDay.Thisyear’stheme,as
announcedbytheWorldIntellectualPropertyOrganization,is“DigitalCreativity:CultureReimagined.”The
programwilltakeplaceonTuesday,April26,from10:00a.m.To11:30a.m.(EDT)intheMumfordRoom(6th
Floor,JamesMadisonMemorialBuilding,LibraryofCongress).
Theprogram,whichishostedbytheRegisterofCopyrightsMariaPallante,willfeatureremarksfrom
CongressmanBobGoodlatte,chairmanoftheHouseofRepresentativesCommitteeontheJudiciary;Keith
Kupferschmid,chiefexecutiveofficeroftheCopyrightAlliance;andavideopresentationbyJosephGordonLevitt,Founder,HITRECORD.
Theprogramwillcelebratecreativityasitpresentsitselfinourinterconnecteddigitalworld.Itwillalso
highlightestablishedcreatorswhohavemasteredtheircraftsandwhohavecreatedinnovativerevenue
streamstopayfellowcreatorsfairly.Thepanelistswillsharetheirthoughtsaboutthevalueofcopyrightlawin
ourdigitalworldandprovidesuggestionson“what’snext.”
