Small teams of students pushed their understanding of shape and form, conquered their fear of the ‘what if’ and fought the demons of ‘I can’t’ to produce an outstanding array of enviable outfits. Their outcomes were amazing, the sculpted outfits of pleated, scrunched and folded paper and plastic were a real credit to them. An awesome lesson for the last day of term. Well done Year 8! Mrs Palfrey & Mrs Newman SAINSBURY’S ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHERS The PE Department is collecting Sainsbury's Active Kids vouchers again this year. PLEASE NOTE THE SCHOOL HOLDS A VERY SMALL AMOUNT OF UNIFORM FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY AND ONLY HAVE LARGE POLO SHIRTS IN STOCK BOOK CORNER ‘Flood Tide’ ‘Flood Tide’ is a fantastic book that has many good reviews and a really intriguing storyline. This is number 14 of the ‘Dirk Pit’ series. In this book, the main character Dirk Pit is back with his companions trying to stop an evil gang masterminded by a secretive villain who is trying to divert the course of the Mississippi river. He is doing this to increase the profits from his illegal immigration company whilst having a gang of ruthless killers following his every step. This is a brilliant storyline and Clive Cussler has unparalleled skill in writing. During the story, Pit has many narrow escapes and plenty of nerve-wracking action scenes, whilst using his witty comebacks and trusty handgun to save the day! Overall, I would rate this book a 4.5 out of 5 as it is an incredible story with plenty of action and awesome characters.
