About Us - Biography
Extreme Wheels Roadshow is now in its 14th year of operation and
therefore it comes with a strong pedigree of providing extreme and action
sport activities for whatever the occasion in any location. We specialise
in delivering high impact bespoke extreme and action sports activities
throughout the country for a wide range of clients for both commercial
and local authority organisations, so whether you are an education
establishment or an event organisation we can provide a tailor made
programme of exciting/dynamic activities to meet your outcomes in order
to have a show stopping event.
Although we are a local authority based in Derbyshire, we can travel
anywhere in the country, this is because Extreme Wheels Roadshows
is a self financing project and therefore can provide any type of hire
ranging from one off events/activities, a series of sessions or even work in
partnership for organisations on their behalf.
Regardless of the type of organisation you are, we provide specialist
advice and assistance in deciding the most appropriate activities for
your occasion, advice on health and safety matters, risk assessments
information and even guidance on event management in relation to our
activities.
To confirm your chosen date, the booking form must be returned to us at
least three weeks before the date of the activity. A free risk assessment of
your venue is also offered dependant on distance from Bolsover.
COST: We do have a standard charge for our roadshows, however this is
based on how many activity hours you require and distance travelled to
your venue. It is best to contact the team to discuss your requirements for
your event/session as we can advise you on a bespoke package that will
meet your budget.
CANCELLATION AND WEATHER CONDITIONS: With 14 years
experience in providing these roadshows we have recognised that
weather is an extremely important factor to activity/event organisers on
whether the show goes on! Based on this, we have come up with a policy
on weather cancellation which has been tried and tested for many years
now.
Requirements For A Roadshow
The Extreme Wheels team all have a personal interest in these activities
from undertaking or competing in their own time to instructing in these
extreme/action sports. We will provide an exciting and motivational
experience to participants and therefore your event/session will be a
highly memorable experience for the individuals who take part!
We are often asked the type of area needed for our roadshows to use,
such as type of surface and dimensions of area. This all depends on how
many activities you require and the type of area it is designated for, such
as a car park, a multi use games arena or a grassed area. So below is
a brief outline of our general requirements, but to ensure we meet your
needs please contact the team to find out the exact requirements of each
activity for your event/session.
All instructors are appropriately qualified to run the activities, have full
enhanced CRB clearance and hold first aid certificates.
Area size: The bigger the better, but absolute minimum a tennis court size
for most activities.
Type of surface: Dependant on activity, seek advice from the team.
Smooth tarmac, indoors and even grassed areas are all suitable.

To book one or more of the roadshows for your organisation a booking
form must be completed and returned. If you require a booking form

Type of area: A wide range of areas can be used such as car parks etc.
However, permissions must be sought by the hiring body ensuring that
the venue can be barriered off (such as car parks with no cars parked on
them), there are no pot holes or divots in the surface. However dependant
on distance, the team can provide a site risk assessment prior to the event
or even provide advice.

a bespoke programme of activities to achieve the outcome you require to
provide you with high impact, exciting and crowd pleasing activities to
your event/sessions, for example it can be used for:

Event/Exhibition Unit
We have an exhibition/hospitality unit available to hire for a wide range of
event types and uses. This unit comes complete with:

 Tea and coffee making facilities  Public address system
This unit is perfect for VIPs event registration, contact centre and more.
In the past this unit has been used by British Cycling as the registration
and finish line unit for national BMX events.
