Girls on the Run® is a life
changing, experiential learning program
for girls age eight to thirteen years old.
The programs combine training for a 3.1
mile running event with self-esteem
enhancing, uplifting workouts. The goals
of the programs are to encourage positive
emotional, social, mental, spiritual and
physical development. The lessons
promote self-challenge instead of
competition; self-worth instead of
societal worth; and cooperation instead of
rivalry. Our mission is to inspire girls to
be joyful, healthy and confident using a
fun, experience-based curriculum that
creatively integrates running. The girls
will meet after-school twice a week for 10
weeks with the season ending 5k to be
held on June 3rd 2017 in Howard County,
Fulton will meet on Tuesdays and

Do you LOVE the library?
So do our students!
With so many books being checked
out each week, we could really use a
few more volunteers to shelve books.
This small service keeps our media
center tidy and ensures that all the
books are in their proper place for
students to find them. Even an hour
or two a week is a big help. Contact
Liz Cerand ([email protected])
or Maggie Fischer
([email protected]) to
volunteer.

If your student is given an antibiotic for strep, he/she
must be on the medication for 24 hours before returning
to school.
The building varies in temperature and can become very
dry. Please encourage your student to drink plenty of
water. Students prone to dry/chapped lips are allowed to
carry lip balm and are encouraged to do so. Look for
updates in the next newsletter.
